The Dance

    Tiana stood on top of the balcony of her restaurant and she hadn't noticed the goosebumps on her arms until now from the cool summers breeze. She had been watching the moonlight shimmering across the opaque darkness suddenly exploding into a million fireflies dancing to the rhythmic beat of jazz that played from down stairs. 

"There you are my darling." Came the rich accent that made her heart stop beating in her chest every time she heard it. He leaned against the door frame, running a hand through his brown hair, his teeth glimmering as their eyes met- instinctively, hypnotically he walked to her, Naveen had put his left hand firmly but gently placed to her hip. Tiana securely wrapped her arms around Naveen with her right hand locked with his. He would gaze upon her eyes, smiling at the young woman. The rhythm of their bodies that danced slowly with the elegant music was passionate. He twirled her around, dipping her as he'd lean forward closer to her. Staring at the beauty before him, his breathing became shallow and his heart had suddenly felt heavy inside his chest. With their bodies nearly touching one another's and their faces so close to each others, to her surprise, Tiana's face would turn to a light shade of pink while her heart would begin to race. Locking eyes, they were unable to keep away from each other. There was something between them. A moments spark lite up. Naveen had taken in a deep breathe, as he pulled Tiana back up into his arms.

"And you said you couldn't dance.." A soft chuckle escaped his lips, resting his head on top of hers, which led to Tiana rolling her eyes and playfully punching his arm, "I've learned from the best after all.." Putting her arms around his neck she gave him a small peck on the cheek.

"I love you Naveen." She whispered.

"And I love you." He whispered back, there lips finally touching softly.
